The First Day at Tolman: A Brand-New Adventure!
The doors swung open, the halls came alive,
With smiles and excitement, our Tigers arrived!
Backpacks were bouncing, new shoes hit the floor,
And laughter and friendship came rushing through the door.
The first day at Tolman was something to see—
A wonderful start to what this year can be!
New teachers, new classmates, new things to
explore,
New challenges waiting just outside every door.
Our Tigers were ready, courageous and bright,
With curious minds and their futures in sight.
They learned, they laughed, they discovered
anew,
And showed us what Tigers are destined to do!
But this year at Tolman is special indeed,
For our nation is celebrating a remarkable
deed.
Two hundred and fifty years—what a story to
tell!
The birthday of America—let's celebrate well!
Think back to the days when our nation was
young,
When the story of freedom had only begun.
Schools looked much different two centuries ago,
With fewer resources and far less to know.
From one-room schoolhouses to classrooms
today,
Education has traveled a remarkable way.
Books, chalkboards and slates once filled every
room,
While teachers helped young minds learn and
bloom.
Then came libraries, science, technology too,
And countless new ways for our students to pursue
Their dreams and their passions, their questions
and goals,
As education opened more doors for young souls.
Computers appeared, and the internet came,
And suddenly learning would never be the
same.
Smartboards and tablets and resources galore
Put knowledge and possibilities right at the
door.
But through all of the changes, one thing has
stayed true:
The heart of education is helping you
Become who you're meant to be, dream what you
can,
And grow into someone who can make a
difference for others.
And here at Tolman, that's exactly our way—
A safe place to learn, to discover and play.
A place where you're valued, where everyone
belongs,
Where friendships grow stronger and learning
grows strong.
We're a family of Tigers, together we stand,
Helping each other with heart and with hand.
We celebrate differences, kindness and cheer,
And we're ready to make this an incredible year!
So, here's to our Tigers, both mighty and small,
Here's to our teachers who give it their all.
Here's to our families, our staff and our crew,
And all of the wonderful things we will do!
Two hundred fifty years of America's story,
Of learning, of courage, of freedom, and glory.
And now our own chapter is ready to start—
With Tolman Tigers leading with courage and
heart!
So roar, Tolman Tigers! Let everyone know:
There's nowhere we'd rather be, nowhere we'd go!
Our first day was amazing—our future is bright,
And together we'll make this a year of delight!
Two hundred fifty years, and the story goes on—
And our Tolman adventure has officially begun!
